New Orleans Unemployment Still High

Fortunately, It is not as bad as it could be.

As originally reported on WWL.com, the population - and the jobs are starting to come back to the city - with the population approaching 90% of the pre-Katrina totals. According to Simply Hired, a job search and tips website, the unemployment rate of the city as of last November (the last month with hard figures and not estimates) is hovering around 13.2%, which is almost twice the national average.
